Predictive factors for choosing supportive care were clinical, rather than socioeconomic. Lower socioeconomic status was associated with increased rates of hospitalization in the KRT group. This is a possible signal that these groups experienced greater morbidity on KRT versus supportive care, an association not demonstrated amongst higher socioeconomic groups.
