[Horseshoe retinal tear: factors that determine the risk of developing rhegmatogenous retinal detachment].

The study established that the larger the horseshoe tear width and the smaller its length, the larger the VRA area and, consequently, the higher the risk of RRD development. Horseshoe retinal tears with a length-to-width ratio of less than 1/1 are the most dangerous in terms of RRD risk, which is important to consider when selecting the treatment tactics.
