Electronic structure modulation of Mo sites in anion and cation co-doped MoO 2 nanospheres for electrocatalytic water oxidation.

Herein, we synthesized a type of anion/cation co-doped MoO 2 nanosphere as an efficient OER catalyst. The optimized Ni/N-MoO 2 exhibited a lower overpotential of 270 mV at 10 mA cm -2 in 24 h. This work provides a unique direction for the synthesis of efficient and stable MoO 2 -based electrocatalysts for water splitting.
