The contribution of maternal and fetal ultrasound Doppler to the prediction of adverse perinatal outcomes in low-risk postdates pregnancies is low. Hence, performing routine Doppler examination as part of postdates pregnancy assessments is unlikely to yield significant clinical benefit.
