TRGR-S does not require sternotomy, reducing the risk of postoperative bleeding and osteomyelitis. In the presence of adhesions, TRGR-S is safe and provides a good surgical view. It is also reliable procedure for resection of retrosternal gastric tube cancer, and it is ergonomic for surgeons.
