NS is marked by heavy proteinuria, hypoalbuminemia, edema, and hyperlipidemia, which can result in systemic disease-associated complications. Cardiovascular complications, infections, thyroid-hormone complications, kidney complications, and oral health complications are the main systemic complications in childhood NS.
