Comparison of CAIPIRINHA-accelerated 3D fat-saturated-SPACE MRI with 2D MRI sequences for the assessment of shoulder pathology.

• CAIPIRINHA acceleration 3D fat-saturated-MRI of the shoulder is achievable in 6 min with high spatial resolution. • 3D fat-saturated CAIPIRINHA MRI is similar to 2D MRI in the shoulder assessment. • 3D CAIPIRINHA MRI images enable rapid diagnosis of shoulder abnormalities without image quality degradation.
