Effects of Statin Dose, Class, and Use Intensity on All-Cause Mortality in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

In patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, consistent utilization of statins (≥28 cumulative defined daily doses per year) was shown to have a beneficial effect on all-cause mortality. Moreover, the risk of all-cause mortality decreased as the cumulative defined daily dose per year of statin increased.
