Patient-reported outcomes for oral oncolytic therapy: A pilot study utilizing an electronic patient portal in a community cancer center.

This pilot study indicates that the use of an electronic patient portal, MyChart, was feasible and improved documentation of patient-reported outcomes within the electronic medical record. Several information technologies and patient barriers were encountered throughout. Careful selection of patients who will embrace this technology is important.
