We developed a series of single atom catalysts (SACs) anchored on bipyridine-rich COFs. By tuning the active metal center, the optimal Py-Bpy-COF-Zn shows the highest selectivity of 99.1% and excellent stability toward H 2 O 2 production via oxygen reduction, which can be attributed to the high *OOH dissociation barrier indicated by the theoretical calculations. As a proof of concept, it acts as a cathodic catalyst in a homemade Zn-air battery, together with efficient wastewater treatment.
