The global AF/AFL burden related to metabolic risks has significantly increased over past three decades, with considerable spatiotemporal, gender-based, and age-related heterogeneity. These findings shed valuable light on the trends in the burden of metabolic risks related-AF/AFL, and offered insights into corresponding strategies.
