Unlike the CBCT exam, mMRI can detect soft tissue debris and unfilled spaces inside radicular canals. Therefore, this in vitro study showed the potential of mMRI to evaluate the quality of the root canal treatment, suggesting its potential benefit in determining the causes of endodontic failure, without the use of ionizing radiation.
