Dementia and Hearing Aid Use and Cessation: A National Study.

Older adults with (vs. without) dementia are more likely to cease hearing aid use over time, most notably during the first year after adoption. Strategies to support hearing ability, such as self-management or care partner education, may improve communication for those living with co-occurring hearing loss and dementia.
