Cryoballoon ablation may cause more myocardial injury than radiofrequency catheter ablation, on the contrary, radiofrequency catheter ablation, may cause more inflammation than cryoballoon ablation. However, these phenomena may not affect the recurrence of AF after the PVI in patient with PAF.
