Ricardo Tapia (1940 - 2021).

This is an Obituary to Ricardo Tapia, one of the most prominent Latin American neuroscientists of the second half of the 20th century, initiator of neurochemical research in Mexico and a huge advocate for scientific-driven policy. Ricardo Tapia passed away on September 8th 2021, at the age of 81. He was an Emeritus Professor at the Institute of Cellular Physiology, which he co-founded in the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
