Comparison of ultrasound-guided femoral artery cannulation versus palpation technique in neonates undergoing cardiac surgery.

The ultrasound-guided cannulation of the femoral artery in neonates is superior to the palpation technique based on the increased of the number of successful first-attempt cannulation and success rate, and the reducing of the access time, number of attempts, number of cannulas used, and cost of cannulation.
