Enhanced Li-ion conductivity in LiBH 4 -ZrO 2 nanocomposites and nanoscale Li imaging by energy-filtered transmission electron microscopy.

A complementary solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis was performed for LiBH 4 -ZrO 2 nanocomposites. As a result, amorphous LiBH 4 films with thicknesses of less than 30 nm were observed covering the ZrO 2 particles. Li imaging by energy-filtered TEM is useful for the real-space characterization of nanoscale LiBH 4 .
