These results revealed that with appropriate immunosuppressive therapy, partial liver graft regeneration occurred in a xenogeneic animal, which suggests liver grafts regenerated in xenogeneic environments, such as an in vivo bioreactor, have potential to be transplantable liver grafts for humans.
