Impairment of adrenergic sympathetic pilomotor function and SSR in evolving PD is not paralleled by changes to cholinergic sudomotor function and parasympathetic neurocardiac function, suggesting a sympathetic pathophysiology. Pilomotor axon-reflex test might be useful to monitor PD-related pathology.
