Due to patient non-compliance and possible adverse effects of steroid medications, physicians should consider limiting their prescriptions of steroid medications to no more than 2 weeks and require frequent follow-up to discuss hyaluronidase if the condition returns off of steroid medication. In addition, it may be advisable to only treat with one filler brand, especially in the same session as this may be a risk factor.
