Post-stroke outcome is influenced by ascending (VTMC) and descending (CST) fiber tracts. Favourable outcome regarding independence (mRS), upper limb motor function (mFMMS) and cortical symptoms (aphasia, neglect) was stronger related to the ascending than descending tract.
