SBE may improve self-evaluated confidence of non-specialist on-call physiotherapists. SBE assists in learning needs identification. SBE could enhance training of physiotherapists providing on-call respiratory services. Further larger trials investigating optimal methods of on-call physiotherapy postgraduate education are warranted.
