PI and the pathological tissue components represented by CEUS were positively correlated with the mechanical parameters of the plaque along the long axis. There may be overlap between the high shear stress area of the plaque and the neovascular aggregation area, and the combination of the two has certain significance for assessing the vulnerability of the plaque.
