Analysis of Intestinal Microbiota in Schizophrenic Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Our study suggests that the presence of type 2 diabetes in individuals with schizophrenia may affect the composition of their gut microbiota. We hypothesize that the concurrent existence of both diseases could potentially lead to alterations in the structure of gut microbiota, potentially influencing treatment effectiveness and outcomes.
