Phase 1 study of the iodine absorption, safety, and tolerability of a 0.5% povidone-iodine nasal spray (Nasodine).

PVP-I is a widely used antiseptic but only recently proposed for intranasal use. The extent of iodine absorption from available PVP-I nasal products is unknown. Iodine absorption from use of Nasodine (0.5% PVP-I nasal spray) is not clinically significant.
