Proper pre-camp planning, prior screening of donors, clear collection process policy, feasibility of efficient transport system, regular communication, and maintenance of cold-chain are crucial factors in determining the success of remote BDCs and quality of BC. Our study provides practical recommendations for policymakers, military healthcare providers, transfusion medicine specialists and public health professionals to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of voluntary blood donation programs in remote settings.
