Implications of SCFAs on the Parameters of the Lipid and Hepatic Profile in Pregnant Women.

The results of our research show that some SCFAs are associated with hepatic lipid metabolism and CRP concentrations, which may vary with gestational weight. Obesity in pregnancy reduces the amount of SCFAs in the stool, and a decrease in the level of butyrate reduces liver function.
