[Survey on blood thinning therapy in patients with age-related macular degeneration].

A large proportion of patients with AMD undergo blood thinning treatment; however, not every patient has a clear indication. Due to the increased risk of bleeding, the use of blood thinners should be critically evaluated in close cooperation with primary care physicians and cardiologists.
