Countdown on hepatitis B elimination by 2030: the global burden of liver disease related to hepatitis B and association with socioeconomic status.

HBV infection remains a global health problem, causing low and low-middle SDI regions with an increasing trend of cirrhosis and other chronic liver diseases, and high SDI region with an increasing trend of liver cancer. Efforts to eliminate hepatitis B by 2030 needs to focus on not only developing regions but also developed regions.
