Health system inequities in Lao People's Democratic Republic: Evidence from a nationally representative phone survey.

The results presented in this article suggest socioeconomic disparities in health care access in Lao PDR despite major national efforts to provide universal access to care. Universal health care policies may not be reaching the poor and additional targeted efforts may be needed to meet their healthcare needs.
