A mobile-based self-care application for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: A protocol for design, implementation, and evaluation.

The present protocol is the first to design, implement, and evaluate a mobile-based self-care application for patients with COPD in Iran. The integration of new technologies for the self-care education of COPD patients is considered an innovative strategy. This application is designed based on the self-care needs of COPD patients, which will ultimately promote the self-care activities of patients.
