Atopic dermatitis (AD) patients have an increased risk of developing rhino-conjunctivitis.1 In some cases, the nasal inflammation extends to the paranasal sinuses leading to chronic rhinosinusitis.2 A subgroup of affected patients further develop nasal polyposis (NP), which are associated with a high disease burden and decreased quality of life.3 While the association between AD and allergic and non-allergic rhino-conjunctivitis was recently elucidated in a large meta-analysis,4 the association between AD and NP is unclear, and it is unknown whether it has clinical implications.
