Anti-inflammatory potential of lactic acid bacteria from southern Brazil by reducing TNF-α and increasing IL-10 synthesis: an in vitro study.

We identified LAB strains with potential anti-inflammatory properties that could adhere to the intestinal mucosa and alleviate the inflammatory response by reducing the production and release of TNF-α through the inhibition of the p38/MAPK pathway, while promoting the production of IL-10.
