Accurate radiographic diagnosis is imperative for appropriate patient management, as CPA/IAC lipomas should typically be managed through observation and serial imaging whereas vestibular schwannomas and other CPA/IAC lesions may require microsurgical or radiosurgical intervention depending on growth and symptomatology.
