Findings suggest the need to better understand how the perceived stress of colorectal cancer caregivers, which tends to be intense for a relatively short period compared to dementia caregiving, may impact immune cell distributions and telomere length. These findings emphasize the need for further knowledge about psycho-biological mechanisms of how cancer caregiving may impact cellular aging.
