The study "Strategies to Improve AFT Volume Retention after Fat Grafting" examines the impact of centrifugation duration and force on platelet-rich plasma (PRP) preparation. PRP, known for its potential in tissue healing and regeneration, lacks standardized protocols. The authors investigate the effects of centrifugation parameters on platelet concentrations and raise concerns about the lack of platelet count specification and characterization in previous studies. The concentration of leukocytes and the platelet-to-leukocyte ratio, as well as the use of non-activated platelets, are also discussed. Challenges in administering PRP gel and the morphological changes of activated platelets are noted. Further analysis is needed for reliable conclusions on PRP applications.Level of Evidence V This journal requires that authors assign a level of evidence to each article.
