Ethical Implications for Preserving the Name of the Discipline of Nursing.

The term nursology has resurfaced in the nursing literature as a replacement name for the discipline of nursing. This article reviews the historical significance of the current terminology and the ethical implications that demand the preservation of the language of the discipline.
