Barriers for bariatric surgery in provincial New Zealand: a qualitative analysis.

Many factors contribute to eligible patients not receiving bariatric surgery once accepted onto the programme. Specified weight loss goals was the most significant barrier. Community support and online resources were significant enablers. This study should inform changes to bariatric programmes in New Zealand.
