The results of this study may suggest the beneficial effect of controlling visceral fat mass on bone health in type 2 diabetes patients. Besides, DXA-derived TBS could be a useful diagnostic tool for evaluating the bone changes according to metabolic changes in type 2 diabetes, which are not entirely achieved with BMD.
