What do you do with a normal appearing appendix? A national study of Pediatric Surgeons.

The majority of pediatric surgeons in Saudi Arabia would proceed with an appendectomy when an intra-operative grossly normal appendix is seen in patients suspected to have acute appendicitis. There is a clear lack of published pediatric guidelines and large studies to guide the correct course of action.
