Onychoscopy provides useful information to aid in the differential diagnosis of longitudinal melanonychia. From our study, onychoscopy can be utilized to assist in making a decision whether to perform a biopsy in patients with longitudinal melanonychia suspicious of malignant melanocytic conditions.
