Routine screening of children and adolescents diagnosed with T1D for depression, anxiety, and eating disorder risk may facilitate early detection of possible psychopathologies, allowing for early intervention to address factors that may disrupt treatment adherence. Further longitudinal studies with larger samples are needed to investigate psychopathologies, particularly eating disorders, in children and adolescents with T1D.
