This meta-analysis showed significantly decreased maternal serum irisin level in preeclampsia patients as compared to normotensive pregnant women. This study highlights the need for future studies evaluating the diagnostic utilities and associations of irisin with the fetal and neonatal outcomes in preeclampsia.
