Myofibroblast-specific Msi2 knockout abrogated the tumor-promoting function of myofibroblasts and inhibited HCC progression in mouse models. Targeting myofibroblast MSI2 expression may therefore prove to be a therapeutic strategy for HCC treatment in the future.
