Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder with painful inflamed nodules and tunnels in the intertriginous areas.1 The burden of HS extends beyond the physical symptoms with increased rates of depression and completed suicide reported.2 More recently, HS has been linked to greater feelings of stigmatization, 3 which may be attributed to the disfiguring skin manifestations and boil-like nature of the lesions.
