Loss of torsional quick eye movements during head roll in progressive supranuclear palsy: a new diagnostic marker.

Loss of torsional quick phases is an early biological marker for diagnosis of PSP, and may be ascribed to degeneration of the rostral interstitial nucleus of the medial longitudinal fasciculus that contains the burst neurons for torsional as well as vertical saccades.
