Hyaluronic acid plays a critical role in somatic pain sensation. Damaged fascia could be a possible cause of musculoskeletal pain in patients with CIPN. This study suggests that fascia is a nonneural cause and novel therapeutic target for chemotherapy-induced "peripheral neuropathy."
