Protocol for a multicentre prospective exploratory mixed-methods study investigating the modifiable psychosocial variables influencing access to and outcomes after kidney transplantation in children and young people in the UK.

This study protocol has been reviewed by the National Institute for Health Research Academy and approved by the Wales Research Ethics Committee 4 (IRAS number 270493/ref: 20/WA/0285) and the Scotland A Research Ethics Committee (ref: 21/SS/0038). Results from this study will be disseminated across media platforms accessed by affected families, presented at conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.
