Psoriasis vulgaris is found to be a lymphangiogenesis-dependent disease, and the lymphatic vascular network is in remodeling and expanding process. Podoplanin may be implicated in the pathogenesis of psoriasis and could be used as a prognostic biomarker for disease severity and progression.
