We found that increasing the expression of the mexB gene can cause the emergence of multidrug-resistant strains by increasing the minimum inhibitory concentration of the antibiotics. Then, we need to evaluate the resistance mechanisms separately in different area of a country to improve the antibiotic stewardship.
